Almost daily, I see patients who are suffering from migraine headaches.  These disabling headaches can last from hours to days, and usually have one or more of the following accompanying symptoms: nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound and or smell.  Thankfully most of my migraine headaches patients respond well to cervical spinal manipulation which reduces tension on the upper cervical nerves of the neck, which have a positive impact on the muscle and vascular tissues of the head  Also I use acupressure along the GV - ( Governor vessel meridian), which runs down the middle of the face.  Stimulating this meridian can help balance and reset the meridian helping restore normal function to the circulatory system of the body.  Also I usually stimulate the TH - ( three heater meridian), behind the ear, which does something similar for general headaches.  It is wonderful that something simple can have such a positive impact without using harmful drugs. A case this morning was having what she called a dazzle, seeing multiple images with some head pain.  After treatment, symptoms dissipated in just few minutes.
